Landscape Seminar: Kate Orff: ‘Toward an Urban Ecology’

In this lecture, ‘Toward an Urban Ecology’ Kate Orff will discuss SCAPE’s approach to landscape design as a form of activism, demonstrating how to move beyond familiar and increasingly outmoded ways of thinking about environmental, urban, and social issues as separate domains. She will show projects and publications that put this approach into action and demonstrate how landscape architecture can effectively visualize and grapple with complex issues such as climate change, habitat loss, and social and environmental inequity.
