Over the past two years, during lockdown, birds became for many of us a much more noticed part of our natural landscape, and an integral part of our lives. In this talk, Jaqueline Mitchell, compiler of Birds: An Anthology (Bodleian Library, 2020), takes us on a romp through the literature of birds in our gardens and landscapes, from season to season, and from Roman times to the present day.
