John Negus, talks about those shrubs which we all should be considering for our gardens. John, studied horticulture at Wisley and Merrist Wood College and now spends much of his time giving talks and enjoying stimulating phone-in Sunday mornings at Radio Surrey. He began a journalistic career 50 years ago writing for 'Home Gardener' and now answers queries and questions for the 'Amateur Gardening Magazine'. He says of his work giving horticultural talks, 'We are blessed with a plethora of gardening clubs who are looking for speakers. Indisputably, it’s good to be with like-minded individuals.'
