Land is Everything: Women, climate crisis and extractivism in Uganda
An NGO CSW Parallel Event presented by Womankind Worldwide, National Association of Professional Environmentalists (NAPE), and National Association for Women’s Action in Development (NAWAD). The event will highlight women's voices and feature changemaker panellists from Uganda and across the Global South. We will explore the links between land issues and climate change and highlight the need for solutions based within a climate justice framework. Attendees will leave with concrete actions to advance a powerful eco-feminist movement to support this.
