OffBeat Presents: Figures in A Landscape
OffBeat will be in Walthamstow for an event of documentary films about women in Britain. They’re going to be screening films about women in Britain including Figures in a Landscape (1953) about one of Britain’s most preeminent artists Barbara Hepworth. This rare footage shows the sculptor at work in her garden in St. Ives and has wonderful narration by poet Laureate Cecil Day Lewis and haunting score by with Priaulx Rainier.
