This week on the hub.earth 10-16 October 2021

Autumn is here with its squally winds, darker mornings and generally greyer outlook .. BUT lets hope for joy in the autumnal seasonal changes with leaves of every colour and berries and fruit! Come on Nature! Help us feel joy!! This week there was a lot to get through but here are our faves! Starting with Decolonising the Garden with Sui Searle at KMIS; Then Great Dixter with their course on Integrating Bulbs successfully into your planting schemes; Hear from one of the first activists to sound the alarm about climate change in the 1980s, Bill Mckibben, to celebrate the Penguin environmental series, Green Ideas.; Join Ula Maria as she talks about creating emotive garden spaces with LCGD; Then move onto some planting that’s had a few more decades to mature at  Munstead Wood with Gardens Trust; Ian Young, hosted by the Alpine Garden Society, talks all things Trough! A week here would be incomplete without Olmstead and this week it’s Jamaica Kincaids turn; Fresh from their Chelsea success Grant Associates will be talking about the UK’s contemporary landscape and gardening culture; And we have found some exciting and useful Catchups;  Gardening in Scandinavia with Ulf Nordfell, Charles Jenks’ Crawick Multiverse and Rosy Hardy with Winter preparations for your plants! Will you have time to eat, sleep and work?
