Balsam pulling down in Queen Elizabeth Field near Ham House
The Thames Landscape Strategy (http://www.thames-landscape-strategy.org.uk/) and the TCV are very pleased with the lack of Balsam this year, so pulling it out must be working. There's a bit left though, so before it sets seed (hopefully) they are going to hunt it down, pull it out and stand on it. And maybe start to feel a bit sentimental about it too.......it is a very invasive plant, that supresses lots of other things if it does get hold. Come along and volunteer with @tcv_theconservationvolunteers and see it at it's tallest - it's impressive, before you pull it out!
