London College of Garden Design series of talks with designers about their work and especially how they approach their planting designs. Exploring their ideas for new planting and find out more about particular projects and why they have been important to their planting design development.
Including:
How they approach their planting design.
The challenges and solutions they have used on individual projects.
New planting design ideas for landscapes and gardens on different scales.
How they have developed their businesses in the early stages of their careers. The first talk is by Tom Simpson. Having qualified as a Landscape and Garden Designer at LCGD in 2016, Tom went on to work for some of the country’s leading garden designers before setting up his own practice. Working on a range of projects across the country, Tom has designed London town gardens to 40 acre country estates.
Tom is the winner of three Royal Horticultural Society Gold Medals and in 2021, with his sponsor Cancer Research UK and his team, Tom won all four of the top awards at the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show.
