Branch Out - The Values of Houseplants: A Conversation with Cabinet Cultures' Curators

Join sociologist Dr Giulia Carabelli and artist-researcher Matthew Beach, co-curators of The Garden Museum's current community wall display entitled Cabinet Cultures: Cultivating Aesthetic, Ecological, and Heritage Value in Human-Houseplant Relations, for afternoon storying the duo’s collaboration with one another and tropical/subtropical plants. You will learn more about vegetal geographies and critical plant studies, how human-houseplant kinship can sprout through research, and the importance of cross-industry partnership and collaboration in impacting how humans value houseplants.
