Ideas for a Greener London: Jane Jacobs Day Talk
How do you envision a greener future for London? Inspired by the work of writer, urban theorist, and activist Jane Jacobs, this panel discussion at the Garden Museum, chaired by Evan Davis will present ideas for a brighter and better urban future, bringing more nature into the city. Each speaking for five minutes, our evening will include architect Alex Arestis on developing an urban arboretum; academic Dr Morag Rose on walking to save the planet; Oli Mould on turning golf courses into community gardens; writer George Hudson on the importance of connecting gardeners and politicians; Fungi Futures founder Maymana Arefin on mycelium networks; and Hugh Gatenby on air pollution.
