Wild City
Access to nature and access to good, healthy food are both incredibly important and starkly unequal. Thanks to our gardens and parks, many urban spaces are already hotspots of biodiversity, but this is only the very beginning of the positive impacts urban wilding could have. Through regenerative practices and reducing air miles, reconnecting our food supply chains with our local areas is one of the biggest ways in which we can reduce our carbon emissions. This event will explore growing in the city, connecting with organisations and groups who are working to share skills and build movements around wilding and food. We’ll learn what we can do as individuals to begin to grow around us, and the bigger picture of building community movements to support growing and farming in the city.
