Webinar on The new EU Forest Strategy Public Consultation Process
Even though we in the UK are no longer in the EU, it’s always good to know what our neighbours are up to in their forests. The new EU Forest Strategy has to include the commitments made under the Green Deal of planting 3 billion tress in Europe by 2030 and operate under commitments made under the EU Biodiversity Strategy for enhanced protections for areas of conservation and the repair and protection of biodiversity: “At least 30 per cent of Europe’s land and seas is set to become a protected area. A further third of these areas with very high biodiversity will come under “strict protection” which will keep human intervention to a minimum”.
