Thinking with Ears: Soundscapes

Thinking with Ears: Soundscapes

In 2020, the pandemic and global lockdown led to the world experiencing the 'Great Quiet'. This experience emphasised how noise pollution is negatively effecting life on earth; noise pollution is the 2nd biggest environmental health problem in western Europe - WHO estimates that 1 in 5 people are regularly exposed to sound levels at night that could significantly damage health. As landscape architects, through interdisciplinary working, we can co-create healthy soundscapes to benefit human and animal life. Speaker: Usue Ruiz Arana Time 18:00 GMT @talklandscape
