The Introduction of the Weitzman School of Design at Penn, Mega-eco Project Symposium opens with a welcome message from Richard Weller, the past Professor and Chair of the Department of Landscape Architecture. A keynote address on the topic of large-scale efforts needed for sustainability is given by the award-winning author and consultant Tony Hiss who recently published Rescuing the Planet: Protecting Half the Land to Heal the Earth (2021). The introduction is concluded with an introduction to the new concept of the Mega-eco.
