Around Britain in 20 Rushes
Rushes occur in a range of habitats in the UK, usually denoting areas of damp ground, as well as some other more surprising places. Being confident in their identification is a vital part of being a botanist/ecologist and is key in the assessment of many habitats (as well as key involving walking into bogs!). This course will show off simple techniques for learning them and includes a test to review your learning. The course will include a pre-recorded tutorial, followed by a test, then a 45-minute Zoom Q&A session. The pre-record format enable you to stop and pause at any point. All proceeds from the course will go to supporting our endangered species conservation work.
