Marco Scano, Agronomist, Pratobello, Sardinia
At Pratobello Marco Scano designs gardens using a naturalistic approach which aims to increase sustainability and cope with climate change related problems. As a post graduate researcher and PHD student at Sheffield University he is running a project to explore the performance of designed plant communities under reduced maintenance protocols limited irrigation. Marco completed his studies in Agricultural Sciences in 2000 and then gained work experience in the family nursery and overseas in California before starting work as a landscaper. In this Mediterranean Garden Society event he discusses his work.
