In Dialogue: Mushrooms and Mycelial Practice

In Dialogue: Mushrooms and Mycelial Practice

Join SLBI for an evening of discussion and exploration into the fascinating world of mushrooms and mycelial practice. Learn about the interconnectedness of woodland fungi and the vital role they play in nurturing climate resilience. Discover the benefits of incorporating mushrooms into your daily life and how mycelium can help you heal and grow.

Izzy Thompson is a PhD researcher at Imperial College London, based at Kew Gardens. She studies mycorrhizal ecology and forest resilience. Her research focusses on the role that fungal partners have in capturing atomospheric carbon in the process of forest regeneration.
Pam Shor is an intergenerational food grower and mycelial advocate working with Black Rootz in Haringey. She coordinates Mycelium Minds at the Wolves Lane Centre, bringing community together to research and appreciate fungi.
In person, London.
