Healing Relationships with the Natural World with Dr. Robin Wall Kimmerer
This one is a biggie! Dr. Robin Wall Kimmerer, renowned author & member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation will be talking on the reciprocity between people and place. As a scientist, Dr. Kimmerer’s interests include the restoration of ecological communities and the rejuvenation of human relationships to land. She holds a PhD in Botany from the University of Wisconsin. Her book Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge and the Teachings of Plants is one of our faves and has earned widespread critical acclaim. She writes, lectures and interviews widely, including features on TEDx, NPR and Orion magazine. In 2015, she addressed the general assembly of the United Nations on the topic of Healing Our Relationship with Nature.
