Gardening for Wildlife and People
Gardens and green spaces are essential places for respite for People and Wildlife. However, so often these two priorities are framed as being incompatible, that one cannot exist without compromising the other. Join Cody Dock for a discussion on examples of how gardens can be powerful spaces benfitting all of nature from people to brown-banded carder bees with Cody Dock's resident Biodiversity Officers Gino Brignoli and Ali Graham-Brown, and champions from the biodiverse and ecological gardening movements.
This in-person session is open to anyone concerned by the biodiversity crisis and looking for examples of ways green spaces can help, whether or not you have a garden!
Featuring guest speakers from two incredible biodiversity and community focused projects: Nemone Mercer of Core Landscapes: 'Meanwhile Garden Making for People and Planet', and
Benny Hawksbee of Eden Nature Garden:'Community Gardening for Biodiversity'.
