Standing with Giants at Hampton Court Palace

Standing with Giants at Hampton Court Palace

To commemorate and remember those who lost their lives in both World Wars and present-day conflicts, a new specially commissioned art installation will be on display in the East Front Gardens at Hampton Court Palace this November. The piece includes more than 100 specially commissioned silhouettes of soldiers, including Indian soldiers that camped in Home Park, Hampton Court. There will also be 75 screen-printed poppy wreaths as part of the installation. The new installation has been created in partnership with Standing with Giants, a community-based art installation formed by Oxfordshire artist Dan Barton and a dedicated group of local volunteers. It will open on 3 November and run throughout the month, including Armistice Day on 11 November.
