Environmental Justice: Creating Clean and Healthy Communities for All
Climate change, land, air and water pollution, toxic chemical exposure, degraded environments - the burdens of hosting polluting industries and of our failure to protect our environment fall disproportionately on low income communities, primarily those of color. The outcomes have led to social, health, and economic disparities. However, through that injustice have risen leaders and activists pushing for social change for the benefit of the environment and people. hear from leaders about the historical context of environmental injustice, efforts being undertaken locally and globally to achieve environmental justice, how impacted communities are being included in planning and implementation, and ways we can all be part of the solution.
