British Flowers Rock!
As a 4th generation grower, Ben Cross will be talking about the fascinating story of Crosslands Flower Nursery - established in 1936 in West Sussex - by his great grandparents.
Importantly, Ben will also be telling us about the British Flowers Rock campaign that he heads up, in a bid to educate and promote British flowers. At the moment, 90% of cut flowers are imported from other countries as far afield as south America and south-east Asia. Clearly that creates terrible carbon footprint and also explains why what you buy in the supermarket doesn't last very long... they would have been cut numerous days before reaching your vase.
There are a lot of important lessons to be learnt from Ben, so this will be an avid watch.
