Botany and History Walk in Perivale Wood
Perivale Wood is one of the best maintained ancient woodlands in Greater London. This nature serve has been managed by the Selborne Society since 1902. Formed in 1885, the Society is England's longest running national conservation charity and aims to "perpetuate the name and interests of Gilbert White, the Naturalist of Selborne". This walk will explore the woodland and associated ancient meadowland as well as the legacy of Gibert White, and will be led by Dr Mark Spencer and Stephanie Holt, who will also be joined by two trustees of the Selborne Society, who are experienced in the ecology of the wood. Organised by the Linnaen Society.
