Heathland Spiders

If you are an arachnid fan then this is the course for you. Surrey Wildlife Trust's Mike Waite, who recently achieved enormous recognition for his rediscovery of the great fox-spider that had not been seen in this area for over 20 years, will be your host for this event.
There will be a classroom session to begin with where you will learn about the different species living on the heath. You will then discuss various ways of identifying these spiders before setting off for a walk on Ockham Common. There you will see these eight-legged creatures in their native habitat.
