American Landscapes
A historical overview of American horticulture and the immigrants, plants, and systems that continue to alter this land by Wambui Ippolito, a horticulturist and landscape designer, and a graduate of the @nybg School of Professional Horticulture. Her design ethos is influenced by her time as a child in East Africa's Rift Valley. In addition to her design work, Wambui develops programming for museums, public gardens, and parks exploring the broader context of horticulture, focusing on the intersections between migration, design, history, culture and science. She lectures both in the USA and internationally. Wambui is also the founder of the @bipochort, a multicultural professional organization with membership from the USA, Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean.
